Named among the “100 Best Communities for Young People,” and also home to a thriving senior population, Burleson residents enjoy lower taxes, a more family-oriented environments, and an outstanding school system. Land affordability is still attractive to home buyers and it is going and growing faster than ever with the recent completion of the Chisholm Trail Parkway. More than 50 years in the making, the toll road will mean a big future for Burleson, with significantly reduced commute time to Fort Worth, the DFW Airport and other cities across the Metroplex and beyond.

An active community inspired the City of Burleson’s "Be Burleson. Be Safe. Be Well. Be Healthy" program which partners with health conscious community organizations to host specific events and promotions throughout the year. The city is home to two dozen parks on approximately 300 acres that host an array of community activities year round including camp outs, fishing adventures, craft fairs, holiday celebrations, concerts, and athletic competitions for all ages. The Burlington Recreation Center (BRiCk) offers fitness facilities for the entire family along with dance classes, swimming instruction, and martial arts training, and more. And Burleson’s own municipal golf course, Hidden Creek Golf Course, is renowned in the Metroplex.

Priorities under development by the City of Burleson to accommodate its anticipated growth include the Hidden Creek Hotel & Conference Center, HighPoint Business Park, IH-35 Corridor, Old Town Redevelopment, and a Transit-Oriented Development District.
